We provide you one or more English speaking local real estate agent in each part of Costa Rica for full support. These agents are recognized as the leading professionals in each area. Throughout the experience, you will be in contact with George Prescott, Realtor to guide you and assist with decisions and negotiations.
As a Buyer Member of Costa Rica Buyer's Agent you have access to all of our information about Costa Rica, new communities, homes and condos. When you become a Member (No Fee) you will get access to all of the information about each of the communities in Costa Rica. We have web site links, floor plans, prices, photos and feature lists of the new communities in Costa Rica ... from the most modest to the most luxurious.
If you wish a knowledgeable professional real estate agent to support you in each region of Costa Rica, we will arrange for one of the English speaking professionals to meet you and show you homes and communities in their area. We have cooperating arrangements with agents throughout Costa Rica to support you. George Prescott will continue to act as your Buyer's Agent to guide you in your buying decision, although one of our local agents may be showing you homes, George Prescot will remain loyal to you, your needs, and financial interests.
It is customary in Costa Rica for any Seller, Builder or Developer to pay a real estate commission to a registered real estate specialist. We do not represent any Seller, Builder or Developer nor do we have any real estate listings.
The builders, sellers and developers offer commission to compensate real estate agents for their time and efforts to support the transaction. This is the same procedure as in the USA. In the event you purchase, we have an existing agreement with our local cooperating agent and Costa Rica Buyer's Agent to jointly share in that commission. That is our only compensation.
We support our members to evaluate those communities in Costa Rica that will best meet their needs. Although you are free to select any attorney to represent you, we can assist you to meet with a leading real estate law office in Costa Rica who specialize in real estate transactions with investors from the USA, Canada, Japan, UK, Europe and Latin America. We can support transactions in English, Spanish, Portugese, German, Dutch and French.
Title Insurance
The leading title insurance company is known throughout the USA, Stewart Title. Their staff are knowledgeable and responsive. Upon entering into the purchase of real estate in Costa Rica, Stewart Title is prepared to provide a title insurance guarantee of the transaction.
Financing
Typically banks typically only lend within their own country. There are several banks within Costa Rica who will provide financing to foreign investors for homes, condos or vacant land. Please consult with George Prescott, Realtor about your financing choices and the requirements of Costa Rican lenders. We can recommend a full service american mortgage broker who will coordinate the financing for you, doing business in the same way you are accustomed in the USA.
